Long Live Napoleon!

Well, this morning I slept in, and it sucked. The extra sleep was nice, but I would have rather been woken up at the crack of dawn by our dear rooster, Napoleon. It's sad to say, but Napoleon was attacked, mangled, and destroyed by a fox. It happened to his girl friend a few months back, and ever since then he has hopped up in the tree next to my window from 6 pm-6 am for safety. I can't even imagine how he must have felt, to see your girl friend eaten by a fox. And early in the morning after he hopped down and went to the pen for the day, it happened. We all miss him SO much. I hated him, but I was crying. Ellie slept with his feathers last night, she thinks that even though all of his feathers are all over the field, and he hasn't been seen in a few days, that he is just hiding. "Mom, if you were naked you would want to hide too!" -Ellie. I miss you Nap Nap! Love you!

Family Time!

Pretty much all time is family time here! So we have to be creative with how to spend that time. So Lindsay and Ellie decided to make cup cakes! :) We also decorated grahm crackers with colorful frosting, sprinkles, and chocolate and brought it to this lady down the road, Vickie. This lady is who we walk over to and buy DELICIOUS squash. It tastes like candy! Yumm!! This lady is also the ONLY person I know in all of Georgia....
